Eurovision how many in final

There is some stiff competition. The older brother of pop star John Newman h ad been ready to perform the ballad My Last Breath at the contest before it was cancelled due to the pandemic. The host nation, the Netherlands, will also compete in the showpiece event. The contest has been disrupted by a number of positive Covid tests among the delegations.

Iceland, one of the favourites to win, will compete in the final despite its entry, Daoi og Gagnamagnio, being forced to pull out of performing live after a positive test. The quirky dance-pop band had been due to perform their song, 10 Years, but will now compete using their rehearsal performance, recorded on the stage on 13 May.

This year the final is predicted to be even at the top, with pundits seeing up to 6 to 8 songs as potential winners. France and Italy are currently the bookmakers favourites. It is a Eurovision tradition that the Host City throws a red carpet event for the participants and Rotterdam is no exception. This year, the red carpet was transformed into a Turquoise Carpet. The challenges created by the COVID pandemic meant that health and safety protocols were monitored and enacted right up until the last minute, meaning that some delegations were unable to join the carpet event.

With health and safety at the top of the agenda, artists began to arrive once Ahmed Aboutaleb, the Mayor of Rotterdam, declared the Eurovision Song Contest officially open and commended organisers on the achievement of hosting a Contest under difficult circumstances.

James replied: Same i liked Finland best though. Hoping for Iceland to win, they were pretty good and Estonia didn't get through, Malta has a high chance and same for Norway, Bulgaria does have a good song though, it's quite tough, but overall I think Norway or Iceland will win.
