How does guitar endorsement work
Absolutely sound advice. In fact, we use this article to make sure the artists and our company are on the same page. And it tends, in many ways, to be the standard by which we operate.

Both of them were real champions of what I did as a musician, and when they started the company, they continued that support. I love their guitars and the fact that they are a hand made rather than just hand assembled thing of beauty , and I give mine maximum visibility in whatever I do. The playing level and the profile has to be there, but without John and Chris being familiar with me and my playing that deal never would have happened.

Honestly evaluate where you are in your career — do you tour? Do you have a YouTube channel with lots of subscribers? If not, why do you need anything from a company, and more importantly — why do they need you? Endorsement grubbing on the show floor of NAMM vacillates between bold and suave to downright pathetic.
They could have done exactly nothing for the brand, and the rep told them as much and sent them politely packing. What brands really love seeing is when artists take the time to respond to fans, especially when they are explaining to a fan why they use a certain brand of gear. Bonus points if you participate actively on forums frequented by guitarists. People that can produce high-quality content.
Can you produce a high-quality demo video for a brand complete with good videography, a killer mix, and some delicious guitar playing? Congrats, you just paid for yourself. The math is in your favor. Artists that get them sales. This is incredibly obvious, but somehow people miss it. At the end of the day, brands are looking for people that can help them sell more guitars. Even people with a terrible attitude can score a deal if they can move serious volume for a brand.
